Become our Chosen Cause 2018
Become our Chosen Cause at the Glittering Gala Evening. Since inception in 2012 MTM has helped create awareness for various projects and charities. At the inaugural MTM Awards in 2012, our chosen charity was ‘Help for Heroes’.
Our associate groups have organised events to support countries that have been affected by natural disasters, Muscular Dystrophy UK, Teenage Cancer Trust, Diabetes UK, Cerebral Palsy Kenya and Famine in Somalia. Every Season we raise the profile of our chosen charity by giving presentation opportunity at the award ceremony for charities to exhibit, speak & feature in the MTM Award Souvenir Magazine.
Our Chosen project for 2016 We raised awareness of Cerebral Palsy, a project by Al-Muqtadir Association headed by Ramla Said Omar Mohamed, a disability activist and an inspiration to many women with disabilities in Kenya, her country of birth. She is the Founder of Al-Muqtadir Association organisation which encourages people with disabilities, in particular, to mobilize and exchange their personal and social experiences.
Our Chosen project for 2017 We raised awareness in the plight of continued Slaughter of the African Elephants by organising the 1st ever Great London to Bristol Ivory Belongs To Elephant Walk & gave a platform for elephant campaigner Jim Justus Nyamu to speak at the Glittering Gala Evening.
In 2018 we step up our campaign for FeedTheHomelessBristol as an on-going concern by creating awareness of this dire plight in the city. We will go a step further and will raise money for our chosen charity at the Glittering Gala Evening. With our excellent celebrity & VIP guest list, this is immediate funding for our chosen Cause. Charities & NGOs from abroad will have a proven track history & recommendations from authentic sources before we can accept to invite & recognise these organisations.
